France West Coast - Calais to Avranches

Our next stop was at Cherbourg, a large city, very unlike the Cherbourg we have back home in Queensland. We drove to the harbour area where we could see the many fortifications built out from the city on rocky islands to protect its harbour. This is just one. Enough sightseeing for today.... we headed into Avranches for our overnight stay. In the next Album 10 we continue south along the west coast of France from Avranches to the Loire Valley.
